America’s armed forces have always served courageously, sacrificing bravely with valor for the very price of freedom. Freedom is never given. It must be taken, protected and preserved for generations. In the struggle for freedom, great deeds have been accomplished, lives have been given, honor has been sustained. Nothing speaks greater to the legacy of the United States military than a proud collection of American medals.

Wearing a military medal is more than a matter of personal glory. It’s an honor to the sacrifices of others to win the freedoms we enjoy today. When you wear American medals, you are honoring the very lives of those who died to preserve the root of freedom, the very reason our freedom prospers as a bright beacon to the entire world.

Whether you serve in the Air Force, Marines, Navy, or the Coast Guard, or have served in the past, you represent the greater American military tradition and should always look your best. Medals add dignity and prestige to any uniform, attracting the eye with their brilliant colors shining brightly in the light. Whether your attending a church service, visiting a local Boy Scout troop, or visiting a nursing home to brighten somebody’s day, your uniform will look its best when properly adorned with honorary medals.

As representative of the great service made to honor this country, medals should always be polished, shining with pride, lighting up your uniform with honor. It shows an attentive eye to detail, a willingness to make the extra effort to get the job done right. A polished, shiny medal suggests success and a dignity for self-sacrifice and service.

Medals can be designed for a shirt and attached with a short pin, or use a longer pin for a service coat. Magnets can be attached to the medal and the inside of the uniform to eliminate the need for a pin. Traditional pins can mar fabric, tearing holes and causing frays that prematurely cause unsightly wear. Magnets are best used to preserve the material of the uniform and keep it looking its best.

Wear your medals proudly. They add more than dignity and prestige to your uniform. Medals serve to recognize the sacrifice of those who have paid the ultimate price so that others may be free.
